STEPHEN GUENTHER

I started in photography before there was a fine art side, the 70s were full of new exploration as photography came into vogue and began to take hold in the consciousness of the art world. My early training had a “zen approach”, my first teacher/mentor was C J Pressma of the Center for Photography Studies in Louisville, KY. C J was a disciple of both Henry Holmes Smith and later Minor White. I feel the influence of all three when I work.

I also have more than twenty years of creative direction in film, video, interactive and print. Functioning as Design Director, Film Director, Executive Producer and Creative Lead. I try to inspire creativity in both my crew and my clients, to function as a creative instigator.

Clients have run the gamut from S.C. Johnson on the corporate side to Lions Clubs International on the nonprofit side.

Photography is a language more universal than words. - Minor White
